Oktoberfest Happy Hour 2025
Our happy hour this month had a mix of Oktoberfest cheer and bittersweet vibes. 🍻
 
After five decades in Texas, Dave is packing up his spurs and heading to the Mile High City! Following a successful career as a corporate attorney — and serving as President (1994–95) of the best ski, travel, and social club in Texas — he’s off to start his next chapter in Colorado.
It was great hearing from him one last time at last night’s happy hour as he shared stories about his upcoming move. It’s rare to remember a happy hour where Dave didn’t have a cocktail in hand and a clever comment ready. 😄
 
We’ll miss his humor and sharp insights, but since club membership knows no state lines, we know we’ll see him again — whether it’s on the slopes or in a cozy Colorado pub!

Trip Leaders enjoy the reward of guiding a group of fellow Amigos on unforgettable journeys, and receive reimbursement for a portion of their expenses. Have questions? West Texas, here we come! With 15 members already signed up, this trip promises the perfect mix of scenic hikes, local flavors, and artful discoveries. We’ll explore the Davis Mountains, enjoy stargazing at the world-famous McDonald Observatory and spend an afternoon in Marfa for a taste of its creative vibe and culinary scene.

 

Mark your calendars! Indian Lodge reservations open October 26 for reservations starting March 26, and with limited rooms during peak season, it’s best to book early to secure your spot.
