Powder, Medals, and Plenty of Smiles!
Our Steamboat trip delivered pure Colorado magic—from bluebird ski days and powder turns to scenic gondola rides and lively après-ski camaraderie. An especially welcome highlight was the 18 inches of fresh snow that fell just one day before our arrival, a timely gift given this season’s below-average snowfall across Colorado and Utah. While the fresh snow elevated the overall experience, it also made the race course more technically challenging, adding even greater merit to our members’ accomplishments.
Los Amigos proudly took third place in our division, and seven members earned gold, silver, or bronze medals in their respective age groups—a testament to skill, perseverance, and strong team spirit.
Just as important, the trip was a hit with participants. Trip survey responses received to date from the 33 participants indicate that this was another successful and well-run experience, thanks to the leadership and dedication of Trip Leader Tom Sun.
