A POPULAR DESTINATION OF LOS AMIGOS

 

Spend 7 days in a skiers paradise. We will be staying at the historic Huntley Lodge, just steps from the Explorer lift. 
Big Sky is one of the largest ski resorts in the United States with 30 lifts and over 300 named runs so there is something for everyone whether you ski or board.  The annual snowfall is 400+ inches and lift lines are practically nonexistent.
For non-skiers, the hotel has a spa, shopping, pool and hot tub.
Also available are dog sledding, snowmobiling, 
snowshoeing, horseback riding, Nordic skiing and sleigh rides.

Yellowstone park is only 2 hours away for those who are interested in a day trip.
For all you thirsty amigos, there is a bar located right in the hotel.  
Planned and impromptu parties as well as good friends will make this a trip to remember.

Travel package with roundtrip air via SouthWest airlines is $2,450 per person for double occupancy.
                                   
 Includes round-trip airfare from San Antonio to Bozeman, transportation to Big Sky,
lodging with a daily buffet breakfast included and all associated fees. 

Ground package and bus transfers from Bozeman is $2,100 for double occupancy
Single supplement is additional $1,354 (need to contact the trip leader for single supplement)
Ski lift tickets will be available with other lift options available including senior rates.
Ski/Board rentals are available at the base facilities.

Trip limited to 26 sign-ups.


TERRAIN 

 

On average Big Sky has 69 annual snowfall days over the last 12 years.
The average snow depth at Big Sky Resort is 41" at the base and 64" at the summit,  
With an annual snowfall of 267 inches and 4,350 vertical feet  for skier and rider accessible
terrain, Big Sky Resort offers access to 317 run and
tree skiing.  All these are serviced by 24 lifts and 12 surface lifts. 

With a terrain rating of 15% beginner, 25% intermediate, 42% advanced and 18% expert.  
Big Sky can accommodate skiers and riders of all levels and abilities.

ACTIVITIES FOR NON-SKIERS AND ADVENTURER SEEKERS 

Snowmobiling
There is no better way to get out and see the area in the winter than to jump on a snowmobile and explore Big Sky's snowy and icy landscapes on a tour from a local company that can show you the hidden jewels of the area.

Dog Sledding
Tour the remote mountain areas with a team of huskies, and sometimes take turns driving during this winter time exploration activity at Big Sky Mountain Resort.  Imagine gliding through a winter wonderland where the only sounds of nature and the team of beautiful huskies pulling you down the trails Big Sky.

Cross-Country Skiing and Snowshoeing

There is no better way to get out and see the area in the winter than to strap on a pair
of cross-country skis or snowshoes and hit the trails!  Start at the Big Sky Resort Nordic Center and venture out on the spacious mellow terrain and connect to over 85 groomed kilometers of nationally ranked cross-country ski trails at Lone Mountain Ranch.  Another great activity to experience the fresh air on a non-ski day is to strap on a pair of snowshoes and meander through the forest around Lone Mountain.

Winter Sno-Go Biking
If you know how to ride a bicycle, you can ride a Sno-Go Bike!  Experience the winter
wonderland on Sno-Go bike and take advantage of all the groomed trails.  Sno-Go biking 
is becoming a popular winter activity for people who want to enjoy the outdoor in a different fashion than skis!


Horse Back Riding
Hit the trail with a reliable steed and seasoned wrangle guide to Big Sky Resort.
Tours from one our to all day can be enjoyed in the midst of the Big Sky wilderness areas.
Experience wildlife viewing, scenic vistas and possibly have a colorful story to two to share at the end of you riding experience.
