Combine the Los Amigos trips to South America.
Peru (July 7-17) and Chile (17-31)

The Peru trip ends on 17 July, the same day the trip to Chile begins.

Take advantage of being in South America to continue your adventure.

You can fly from Lima to Santiago to meet up with the
Chile trip after completing the Peru trip. You can join up with
several amigos who are doing just that.

If you are interested in combining the two trips,
sign up for both trips separately.
Then let the trip leader for Chile (Sherry Bell) know.
We will work out the details.

Travel Protection Plan—Details

The travel protection plan offers both benefits before travel
and during travel. The following provides an understanding of the plan
and whether it meets your particular needs.

The plan can be purchased during your initial sign up for the trip
or it can be purchased when final payment is made.
You can expect final payment to be made on or about April 1st, 2025.

The difference between purchasing the TPP at sign up
or at final payment involves how pre-existing medical conditions
are handled for cancellation. This is explained below.

Before Travel - A Non-Insurance Trip Cancellation Plan

• You may cancel for any reason at any time. Depending on the reason for the cancellation you will be reimbursed with cash or with a travel voucher.

If your cancellation is based on a covered reason (see below) you will get a cash refund. If the reason is not a covered reason, you will get a refund but it will be as a travel voucher.

• Pre-existing medical condition. If you cancel due to a pre-existing medical reason you will get a cash refund only if you purchased the TPP at the time of signing up, otherwise you will get a travel voucher.

During Travel - The following are covered.

• Trip Interruption
• Trip Delay
• Missed Connection
• Baggage Delay
• 24 hour Non-Insurance Emergency Assistance

Medical Expense
• Accident & Sickness Medical Expense
• Accidental Death & Dismemberment
• Medical Evacuation

Covered Reasons for Cancelation—Cash refund rather than travel voucher

  • Sickness, injury, or death of traveler, traveling companion, or family member
  • Quarantine, jury duty, court order to appear as witness for traveler or traveling companion
