A RETURN TO CRESTED BUTTE

Known as Colorado’s last great ski town, Crested Butte is a great mountain destination
that offers gorgeous scenery, a rich history and lack of crowds.
Located off the beaten track, Crested Butte Mountain Resort has expansive
and diverse terrain across more than 1,500 skiable acres and offers terrain
suitable for any ability type. Though known for steep and adventurous runs,
Crested Butte has easy and mellow terrain over the entire front half of the mountain.

The town of Crested Butte is a historic mining town
located a short distance from the actual resort.
Crested Butte is the kind of town that makes visitors wonder: how can I live here?

The town is
renowned for its funky character and fierce independence
alongside its jaw-dropping beauty and vast, wild terrain.
Pastel buildings and nostalgic architecture reflect the town’s designation
as a National Historic District. The bright colors are also a
reflection of the wildflower blooms that earned Crested Butte
the “Wildflower Capital of Colorado” moniker.
In Crested Butte you will find an authentic town with an active art and recreation scene,
excellent restaurants, and a vibrant night life.

Located at the center of the resort, just steps from the lifts,
the Elevation Hotel and Spa offers a full-service spa, heated indoor pool,
three hot tubs, a fitness center, and a new arcade.

The Elevation has an on premise restaurant, lounge, and bar, making it the epicenter for
apres ski.

All rooms offer granite kitchenettes with both microwaves and fridges,
Wi-Fi, LCD flat-panel televisions, and either king or double queen bedding.

All TSC Activities and Parties will be at the Elevation Hotel & Spa

ACTIVITIES FOR NON-SKIERS AND ADVENTURER SEEKERS

Visit Historic Crested Butte
There’s plenty of interesting and historic buildings to check out along Elk Avenue, but exploring the side streets
around town, you’ll likely come upon some
beautiful and quite colorful houses.
Wandering around town
you’ll be surprised how each building is so unique from the others.
Crested Butte is known for a lively art scene. You can stroll through Crested Butte’s many galleries,
experience the diverse artistic expressions of local artists, and be inspired by special ArtWalk evenings.

Snowmobiling
There’s an extensive trail system and local rental companies offer both guided and unguided rentals.
Guided tours start at around $100 per person and range from a few hours to all day
.

Dog Sledding
Try being pulled by a team of dogs through the snow filled wilderness of the Colorado Rockies.
Cosmic Cruisers Sled Dogs Tours and Lucky Cat Dog Farm run tours that will make your
Crested Butte visit one you’ll be remembering for years.
.

Cross-Country Skiing and Snowshoeing

For those who love hiking, snowshoeing is your winter counterpart. Go practically anywhere
from groomed trails to pristine back country wilderness. Anyone who can walk, can snowshoe
and there are plenty of beautiful trails that Crested Butte has to offer. For those who would rather
cross country ski, explore 55 kilometers of manicured cross-country ski trails all around Crested Butte.
The trails are groomed for both classic and skate skiing and can accommodate all ability levels
from beginner to advanced.

Winter Fat Biking
Fat biking is a fun, low impact winter activity that is a great alternative to skiing in the winter.
You can get fat bike rentals at a few shops on the mountain or in town or bring your own
and ride Crested Butte's groomed trails.
It’s easier on your body and you still get to see
the surrounding mountains in an active way

Spa Day
We are staying at the Elevation Hotel & Spa. What more of an excuse do you need?
